About House of Greens
Mission Statement: Grow organic, fresh, local produce for a healthier, happier community, and a cleaner environment.
House of Greens, located in Ogdensburg, NY is a family owned and operated sustainable, vertical, hydroponic indoor farm that specializes in microgreens, leafy greens & herbs.
We offer freshly cut greens as a weekly or bi-weekly subscription, delivered directly to your door. House of Greens’ unique system, Grown-to-Order allows us to harvest and deliver greens as fresh as possible, cutting at the very last moment before being delivered to you. Our subscription program eliminates waste since all crops are allocated ahead of time. Our entire farm is 100% pesticide and harmful chemicals free, and we only use non-GMO seeds to organically grow our crop.
House of Greens is one of very few farms to grow microgreens & leafy greens hydroponically and vertically! Simply means that we don’t use soil, have nearly zero waste, use 1/10th the water of soil crops and can produce a tremendous amount more greens per square foot than a typical farm.
Our goal from the beginning was to enhance the process of how micro greens & leafy greens are produced in order to create consistency and cost efficiency. If you take into account 1/10th the water usage and zero waste, it makes our system very environmentally friendly while still offering farm to table produce, freshly-cut and delivered the same day! We handle every stage of the growing process; from seeding, watering, caring and monitoring, to eco-friendly packaging and even hand-delivering to your door.
Our focus is a healthier, happier, community that is at balance with the natural world around it. We want to ensure that every person can have access to critical nutrition, found only in vegetables, that is scientifically proven to increase quality of life and repair damage.
House of Greens looks forward to supporting you, your family, and our community at large. We intentionally produce more than what's needed in order to donate extra yield to shelters and those who can't afford it as part of our commitment to giving back to this great community. Since better nutrition leads to better health, our focus is not simply producing the greens, but educating the public at large about the nutritional benefits of greens that are grown locally and eaten within days of being cut, rather than those cut many days ago and traveled hundreds or thousands of miles to get to your grocery store.
